Information

Lesson Policy as of October 2003

Lessons are taught in groups of 6 students or less, with classes consisting of students within the same age and level bracket. Classes are 45 minutes long. Based on 9 scheduled classes per quarter ( 3 classes per month ) Level tests are given twice a year. Almost all of the material is supplied, however, there may occasionally be some things the student will need to obtain on their own. Students are expected to come to class prepared. A yearly calendar showing scheduled classes is provided at the time of enrollment and is also available on the website. Cost is based on a monthly rate and payment should be received the first lesson of each month. Payment is considered late after the 10th of the month and will be assessed a $5.00 fee until the 15th. If payment is not made by the 15th the student will be considered dropped and will have to pay the enrollment fee to continue lessons.

Effective Date Monthly Rate
Jan 1, 2003 $65.00
Jan 1, 2004 $66.95
Jan1, 2005 $68.90
Jan 1, 2006 $70.85
Jan 1, 2007 $72.80
Jan 1, 2008 $74.75

There is a $20.00 enrollment fee for each student. This is a one-time fee, as long as the student is continuously enrolled. It covers level tests, certificates, and data entry into scheduling programs. Private lessons are generally reserved for sax, banjo, and mandolin students. Some guitar students are given consideration for private lessons, if their situation warrants it. However, it should be noted that guitar students taking private lessons usually test at least one level lower on average than those in classes. Lessons are 30 minutes long. Based on 9 lessons per quarter ( 3 each month ) Enrollment fees, payment, and late payment policies are the same as above. Individual lessons are $30.00 each. These classes are scheduled to your convenience as much as possible, and no make-up lessons are figured into the rates. It is therefore in your best interest to schedule your classes at a time you will be able to attend without conflict with other activities. There is a $20.00 fee for all returned checks. No Exceptions. Upon enrollment a signature is required to show that you have read and understand these policies. You may contact me at any time if you have any questions concerning your, or your child's education.
